Baileigh and Parker had a beautiful spring wedding at City View at Sterling Square! They were married on April 10th, 2021 and had the sweetest ceremony. Throughout the entire day, there were little touches of sentimentality honoring their loved ones or honoring the Lord. Baileigh used her grandma’s Bible for the day and had her grandparents pray over her and Parker before the ceremony to bless their marriage. She also included the collar of her late-pup on the back of her bouquet to include her in the day. Parker’s dad was part of his groom’s party because they’re super close; I thought this was especially sweet and loved capturing their easygoing relationship on camera.
I could tell both Parker and Baileigh were nervous as the ceremony drew closer; being able to talk/pray briefly before the ceremony helped, but I could tell the nerves lingered some. But the second Baileigh walked down the aisle, their emotions were palpable. It was just so cute. Parker fought off happy tears and Baileigh’s smile was truly radiant. Once the ceremony officially began, jokes ensued and both bride and groom eased up, easing into the familiarity of one another. They prayed together, had communion together and then kissed for the first time as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, we took tons of fun wedding party photos outside and then headed indoors for the reception. They catered Chickfila – AMAZING – and had a loved one make their wedding cake/cupcakes. The first dances were lots of fun. Baileigh had a special first dance with her mom. Afterwards, she danced with her sisters in a special moment that celebrated their friendship and how they helped each other growing up. Cue the waterworks!
The rest of the night was just one big celebration. The dance floor was at maximum capacity and the energy was through the roof! They wrapped up the night with a glow stick exit – which was super unique and exciting! One of my favorite photos from the exit is where Parker dips Baileigh in a kiss and all the glow sticks are shining brightly behind them. So cute!
Baileigh and Parker, your wedding was an absolute blast! Thank you so much for the honor of capturing your special day! I wish you the best and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for you!
Parker and Baileigh met at a bible study in college and were friends for about 3-4 years before dating for 1.5 years. They dream big and dream of figuring out their dreams together! They have a passion for ministry/missions and hope to get back to that some day soon. Parker and Baileigh both love the idea of fostering dogs and eventually kids later on; they actually just adopted their first dog, Hazel, recently and they’re absolutely in love with her!
Baileigh and Parker’s ultimate goal for the wedding was for the emphasis to be on Christ. Yes, they wanted it to be fun, classy and relaxed, but they really just wanted a Christ centered wedding! One of Baileigh’s favorite moments was holding Parker’s hand behind the door while her grandparents prayed over them. Seeing Parker at the alter and everything clicking into place was also a sweet memory for her.
Baileigh was passionate about her wedding celebrating Christ and her new marriage. As such, she had a right hand person, they helped take a huge weight off her shoulders when it came to planning/contacting vendors. She recommends assigning a good friend that you trust (or family member) your “no bs”/point of reference gal. Give her your schedule and trust her with getting things running smoothly; have people contact her (vendors, any questions) instead of you! The goal being that the couple doesn’t have to worry if a centerpiece is messed up or there’s a road bump that day. Obviously this tip is for those that don’t have a coordinator, but it still meant the world that I had a person to depend on for our big day. 🙂
